Falling Open – A four-month course created to fit your current life and then change it beyond recognition
The Falling Open course is an invitation to follow your highest calling, and take the ultimate journey, so that you can fall open and receive the gift for which there is no substitute.
When we live wide-open, our experience becomes profoundly rich and intimate. We can feel the full energy of life moving through us. We find ourselves fully available to whatever is happening, guided by a natural love and wisdom that arises effortlessly and transcends any of our beliefs or opinions.
Many of us have at least had glimpses of this way of being. We sense the possibility for a radically deeper, softer, more alive experience of life. The incredibly good news is that this possibility is always available to us, no matter what we’ve done or who we think we are. There aren’t any real obstacles to complete openness.
So why all the anxiety, frustration, and dullness? Why are we so often enduring life, just trying to get by, rather than fully living? Why do even the “good times” so often seem strangely inadequate and unsatisfying?
Why is it that what most of us experience as “life” is just a pale shadow of what is available for us?
Unfortunately, we’ve been trained to struggle with life and ourselves, identifying problems and trying to solve them. We’ve been told that hard work and better ideas will lead us to happiness. We’ve been taught that we have to earn love by getting rid of all that is unlovable in us.
Falling Open reveals a radical alternative to all the self-defeating ways we’ve been taught to cope. It is an invitation to put down the burden of trying to make our life what we’ve been taught it should be, and instead receive the full gift that is here for us, waiting to be accepted.
Falling open is ultimately as simple as it sounds. However, we have been conditioned to habitually prevent our minds from falling open and to dull the sensitivity of our open hearts. So I’ve designed the Falling Open course to gently yet profoundly guide you through this process and provide you with sustained support to fall open.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Falling Open right for me? If you’re tired of trying to fix yourself and your life, and ready to receive the ultimate gift of living from the open space of love and wisdom, this course will help support and guide your process of falling open. The real question is, are you ready? Are you clear enough to really commit to sustained engagement with falling open?
Can I do the course even if I don’t have a lot of free time? This course is designed to facilitate your falling open within the circumstances of your current life. You don’t need to give up your work, family, or other nourishing activities of life in order to fall open. However, to receive the full benefit of the course, you will need to ensure that you make it a priority to set aside some time to be fully engaged in it. A rough guideline is that over the sixteen weeks of the course you would devote thirty minutes per day on five days of the week to this process. You would also devote another couple of hours each week to the group coaching session and additional course activity. And three times during the course you will participate in three-hour workshops.
What if I have to miss one or more of the group coaching sessions during the course? If the rest of the group is able, I’m happy to reschedule the group sessions so that everyone can participate. If rescheduling is not possible and you do have to miss a session, you will be able to see the video recording, and will still receive the instructions for the following week’s practice, reading, and exercises.
Will this course be able to address my personal challenges? Yes. The breadth of this course serves to ensure that you’ll be invited to thoroughly explore the most significant dimensions of falling open. We won’t somehow miss your real issue. And what actually happens in the course is largely determined by the unique path of each participant. There is always plenty of time to explore the questions and issues that arise in engagement with Falling Open. And I always put the particular needs of the person taking the course before the structure of the course.
What happens in the weekly coaching sessions? These sessions are a great opportunity to inquire deeply into what is happening for you as you engage the course, and receive nourishing support and guidance for your process of falling open.
What is the purpose of the half-day workshops? These workshops allow you to really dive deep into each module of the course right at the very start of them. This helps you directly experience the opportunity that each module is pointing to, which then inspires and informs your engagement with that part of the course.
How are the half-day workshops structured? Each workshop is three hours long, with a short break in the middle. You will be interacting with me for most of this time, and doing exercises by yourself for part of the time.
What if I can’t afford the tuition? I really don’t want money to stop you receiving the invaluable gift of falling open. So I offer an affordable payment plan, if you want to take this course but are unable to pay the tuition at this time. I also offer work/study scholarships that can discount tuition.
